Hey everyone!
So these past few weeks have been great! I got to talk to my family over Skype and Parker as well! So that was definitely the highlight of Christmas for me. Christmas in the sun just isn't the same, but it was great to experience a different way of doing it.
This week we had a few great experiences! So we started out by going to the AIS which is the Australian Institute of Sport! It was definitely a great way to start out the week! Because YSA convention is there we would be helping check them all in and get there gear into their dorms. So the first day we were able to take a tour of the facility and see heaps of cool stuff! The pool was really great! Then the next day we were there again but we helped all the YSA for the convention.
Then this fast sunday we were able to go knock doors and it was at the end of the fast so we were both like starving, but at the last door we were able to find a Chinese family that wanted to hear more. So the moral of the story is when you give all you can and push until the end God will bless you.
Good luck with all your New Year's goals and make some that help you improve spiritually.

To Dad:
The investigators are going good we actually had a great experience yesterday where we where fasting from 5-5 like every month, but this month we were out tracking from 4-5 and we would go home and eat after and so 5 rolls around and I'm just starving and we want to go home, but we decide to knock one more door before we go and it's just a random door that looked like it might have Chinese people there. So it's about 5:05 when we get to the door and we knock and this chinese lady comes up and says "sorry no English" and well, we were like "wan2 mei3 de wo3 men shou zhongwen" (perfect we speak chinese) and we were able to share a message with her and now we are going to teach her and her family!
So that's a blessing of going just one more door past the time you are required to go.
I'll be working on goals this year to improve my desire to study and serve. I need to really build up a love of the scriptures so that when I come home it is easier to want to read them. Some days I just go through the motions, but as I continue to focus and find gospel principles I will increase my desire to study and come to Christ.
